Rainbow Swim Therapy is this month celebrating 7 years in business and is owned and operated by Kate Welch.
Situated just a few minutes from the Childers town centre in a lovely rural setting which Kate says a lot of participants love because it is peaceful, secluded and they are not in a public setting for everyone to see.
Kate began the business at a time when Childers had no real offering for learning to swim and as a result of her own experiences of having to travel from Childers to Gin Gin or Bundaberg when her own children were young.

“Every child should be able to access swim lessons” and as such Kate has worked with Adults in the Learn to Swim process, offering specialized sessions for those with “Other Abilities” such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy etc.
Kate has changed the way that swimming is offered in that she will cater to the participants needs through private sessions, private family sessions, and is always open to working to the needs of her participants.

Rainbow Swim Therapy prides themselves on being a child-led service and inclusive for everyone and also offers Sessions to NDIS participants.
Last year Kate undertook training in the area of “Bath Babies” and is now providing sessions to start the water familiarization process from 6 weeks of age in her very own Bath Babies Program which is run from the Childers Neighbourhood Centre at various times.

Participants state that Kate “does things in the pool that they have never seen before” and the Children really love their Learn to Swim Process and coming to Miss Kate’s.
