Happy New Year, dear Reader!
I pray that 2025 is kind to you, your family and to us all.
Did you overindulge over the Xmas/New Year period?
Too much food, alcohol, not enough sleep, stressed?
Are you feeling a bit BLAH? Food fatigued?
Yep, I get it! I didn’t overindulge much, however, after the family left, I found myself totally exhausted and UNinterested in food, which is so unlike me.
Although I have been following a “fasting” lifestyle for over 2 years, I decided to commence a 2-day juice detox followed by a month long reset of cyclic fasting.
Cyclic fasting is varying fasting times over a weekly/monthly basis from 13-36 hours, including altering the types of healthful foods/meals each day.
Why fasting?
Fasting has been shown to:
· aid cellular rejuvenation;
· improve diabetes, hormonal imbalances and sleep;
· reduce anxiety, pain and inflammation;
· reduce rosacea and acne;
· increase oxytocin (your love and social bonding hormone) and dopamine (your pleasure, motivation, mood & sleep hormone); and,
· aid with bloating, digestive issues, weight-loss and insulin resistance.

There are many doctors online specialising in fasting techniques, with many years of research and often due to healing their own health issues. They also often offer healthful dietary information.
