“I started in 2022, it came from my love of art as a child and of course Woodgate. Over this time I have given out over 3,500 rocks. Some have travelled to New Zealand, USA, The Arctic circle, Germany, Paris, Greece, Philippines, Bali & Russia, to name a few. I do live painting on tik tok…and it’s a thing that can help people’s mental health as well because people seem very happy to find them and hide them” – Jode.
Have you ever strolled along Woodgate beach and spotted a beautifully hand painted rock? Chances are you picked it up and took it home because the artwork was simply too cute. We personally have a windowsill lined with beautifully hand painted rocks from a range of different artists all over the Wide Bay area.
Our local Woodgate Rocks are hand painted by local talent Jode Parsons, or JP as you will see initialled on the rocks. Not only is she an exceptional baker but also an amazing artist. You can spot Jode’s craftmanship by the “WGR” written on each and every stone, or by turning the rock over. On the bottom side of every rock you will find that you are given 2 options:
