Have you ever seen a tree covered in knitted squares? Or maybe a telegraph pole in a blanket?

Yarnbombing also called yarnstorming, is a form of creativity expressed by members of the community. A creative outlet for community groups or individuals entailing those involved to knit together colourful prints around various urban environments.

The eye catching yarnbombing can also be a form of activism intended to express a specific purpose or to bring about a desired response.

The Childers Neighbourhood Centre coordinated a Yarnbombing in support of the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day, which took place on August 31st.

A display of hope for all who go past.
