About our content
At Chitchat Newspaper, we’re dedicated to telling the stories that truly matter — the ones that often go untold. Unlike many publications, we don’t simply regurgitate media releases. Instead, we focus on real moments, genuine voices, and meaningful local impact.
Our Media Submissions page is your place to share local news tips, event information, photos, community achievements, business updates, human-interest stories, and anything else you believe deserves to be highlighted. We proudly support local businesses, entrepreneurs, creatives, and community collaborations, and we welcome contributions that showcase the heart of our region.
To help us publish accurate and reliable content, your submissions should be factual and double-checked prior to sending. While we cannot guarantee every submission will be used, we will be in touch to let you know the outcome.

Testimonials
“Just to let you know that our Club thought your write up for our ‘winning photo’ in the last edition was exceptional. Just awesome, thankyou so much.“
“Hi Haley, I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for your fantastic efforts with the Childers ChitChat paper. Apart from Facebook (which I am trying to avoid) this is the only way for our locals to be kept up-to-date with what is happening in our town. The little tech support column that you print every month for me is definitely sending people my way – quite a few come in because they saw this in the paper. Keep up the good work!”
“The Chitchat Newspaper is a beautiful embodiment of the community spirit. A professional publication available for FREE in hard copy and digital formats, the Chitchat Newspaper provides valuable information to locals and visitors alike. Full of encouraging local stories, important dates and local contacts, everything is relevant to our area. Through celebrating our people, local news and events and business information, there’s something for everyone. It is a gift to be cherished. Personally, I love reading good news and on that, Chitchat delivers. For our not-for-profit grocery store, the ability to advertise in our local area is such a blessing, helping us get the word out. It’s a newspaper to be read slowly, enjoyed over a quiet time, allowing goodness to soak in. It reminds us we’re all a part of a larger community and not alone.”
