FRASER COAST NETWORKING POP UP SET TO INSPIRE THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY

A fresh approach to the workday is coming to the Fraser Coast next month, with local professionals invited to swap their usual office setup for a scenic riverside experience.

Business by the River is a two-day pop-up co-working event set along the Mary River, offering a relaxed yet professional environment designed to keep people productive while encouraging connection and collaboration. The event will be held on May 13 and 14 at the Brolga Theatre in Maryborough.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop, settle in, and enjoy a workday with a difference—combining business with the natural surrounds of the river precinct. This flexible co-working experience allows attendees to work as they normally would, with added opportunities throughout the day.

On offer will be shared co-working spaces with Wi-Fi and power, quiet areas and informal meeting spaces, as well as free business workshops and information sessions. Attendees can also access one-on-one mentoring, networking opportunities with other local professionals, and on-site business support services.

Business by the River is suited to a wide range of people, including sole traders and freelancers, remote workers, small business owners, startups and entrepreneurs, young professionals, and local businesses looking for a fresh space to meet or collaborate. Whether working solo or bringing a team, participants are welcome to attend one or both days.

The event will also help shape the future of co-working opportunities across the Fraser Coast. Spaces are limited, and early registration is encouraged. Co-working desk bookings are restricted to one day per person to ensure fair access, though additional space will be available throughout the river precinct, including shared tables and grassed areas.

Information sessions can be booked on any scheduled day.
