The Little Free Community Pantry in Agnes Water continue to demonstrate the power of community, providing food relief to local residents with dignity, compassion and no strings attached.
Established by the community, for the community, and funded entirely through community donations, the pantry offers assistance to anyone doing it tough. There are no forms to fill out, no eligibility requirements and no embarrassing questions—just practical support when it’s needed most.
Organisers say the pantry reflects the caring nature of the local community. “We live in a caring and supportive community and there is plenty to share in the pantry,”
Alongside pantry supplies, food hampers are also available. Those wishing to access assistance are asked to send a message to arrange a suitable collection time.
As demand continues, organisers are appealing for donations to help keep shelves stocked. Items currently in high demand include canned meals, spaghetti, baked beans, noodle cups, tuna and crackers—particularly foods suitable for people with limited cooking facilities.
The pantry is also running low on everyday essentials including laundry liquid, toilet paper, pasta sauces, recipe base sauces, packet pasta, rice, sugar, juice, cordial, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and pet food. Community members wishing to help can leave donations in the little blue bin at 56 Innamincka Way, Agnes Water.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps ensure the pantry can continue providing support to local individuals and families when they need it most.
